To protect any room from intruders, one or more locks are installed on the entrance doors. They can be both very simple and very complex, which, in turn, affects their cost. This article will consider what such locks are, what are their varieties and the requirements that are imposed on them.

Some of them structurally provide for the possibility of replacing worn parts in case of their breakdown, while others will have to be completely replaced with new ones.

- a flat cylinder lock can be cracked in two or three minutes (as in the first version, all the problems lie in the low secrecy of this product and the possibility of selecting a key);

- ABLOY disc cylinder lock has high secrecy, long service life, good quality (you can open such a lock in about 15 minutes, making quite a lot of noise);

- the lock of the lever type (it is also called a safe) has high secrecy, excellent quality, the presence of various "traps" against hacking with a master key, besides, it is very difficult to drill. It can be considered a worthy option for installation on the entrance door of premises with material values.

It is also worth noting another requirement, which is that any door lock must reliably perform its functions from day to day throughout the entire warranty period and even more. As a rule, the warranty for high-quality locks for entrance doors can range from one year to several years.
